The enable and disable options in Solace widgets allow you to control whether specific resources or features are actively operational or temporarily suspended. When a widget item (for example, a Bridge, RDP, or other object) is enabled, it operates normally and can send, receive, or process messages based on its role. When a widget item is disabled, it becomes inactive and cannot perform any operations until it is enabled again.
To Enable or Disable an Object
In a widget, select the object you want to enable or disable.
From the Selected menu, navigate to:
Change Status > Enable / Disable. The Confirm Enable/Disable action dialog opens.
Click Yes to perform the action immediately or Schedule to perform it later.
(See Scheduling Jobs for more information.)
Once completed, the Status updates to true if enabled, or false if disabled.
Version 11.3 and Earlier
The enable and disable options in Solace viewlets allow you to control whether specific resources or features are actively operational or temporarily suspended. When a viewlet item—such as a bridge, RDP, or another object—is enabled, it is available for normal use and can send, receive, or process messages depending on its role. Disabling an item places it into an inactive state, preventing it from functioning until re-enabled.
To Enable or Disable an Object
In a viewlet, select the object you want to enable or disable.
