The Browse Authority Records feature allows you to view existing authority records that define which users or groups (entities) have access to specific IBM MQ objects.
To access this feature:
Select a queue manager in the Queue Manager widget.

From the Selected menu, navigate to:
Commands > Security > Browse Authority Records....
The Queue Manager * Authority Records dialog opens, displaying all authority records defined for the selected queue manager.
The toolbar at the top of the dialog provides several controls for managing how records are displayed:

Group by
A dropdown list used to organize the authority records by specific criteria. The available options are:No grouping — Displays all records in a single list.
Profile — Groups records by the MQ object profile name.
Object type — Groups records by MQ object type (e.g., Queue, Channel, Topic).
Entity name — Groups records by the user or group entity name.
Entity type — Groups records by entity type (Principal or Group).
Refresh (
)
Reloads the data from the selected queue manager to ensure the displayed authority records are up to date.Object Type Filtering (top-right icons)
A set of filter buttons allows you to narrow the view to specific MQ object types, such as authentication information, channels, client-connection channels, communication information, listeners, namelists, processes, queues, queue managers, remote queue managers, services, and topics.
Table Columns
The table displays authority record details across several columns:
Profile — The name of the MQ object or resource profile associated with the authority record.
Example:QM.AAA,SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN, or@class.Object Type — Specifies the MQ object type for which the authority record applies, such as Queue, Channel, Topic, Queue Manager, or Namelist.
Entity Name — Displays the user ID or group name that has been granted permissions on the object.
Entity Type — Indicates whether the entity is a Principal (an individual user) or a Group.
Options — Lists the authorities granted to each entity. The available authorities (such as Browse, Change, Delete, Get, or Put) vary depending on the MQ object type.
At the bottom of the dialog displays the Total and Visible number of authority records.
