Updates
Time is running out!
For customers who have not upgraded to Navigator version 10 and are still running AutoPilot on Demand for MQ (Apodwmq), there are multiple reasons why you will need to upgrade. |
First, Internet Explorer is being removed from many corporations, since it is has reached end-of-life per Microsoft. We no longer support WGS version 6, and while one version of Navigator version 10 tolerates Apodwmq, that release is approaching end-of-support. Finally, many customers are concerned about Log4j v1, which is still used by Apodwmq. Given all of these factors, we encourage all customers to get current on their Navigator components. If you need assistance, contact your Technical Account Manager or open a ticket in the support system. You can view the Navigator support matrix in the Resource Center.
10.4.2 updates
The latest release of Navigator, 10.4.2, has been released. Refer to the following Resource Center articles for more information:
Nastel Navigator 10.4.2 Release Notes
Solace
The main theme of this release was extending the Solace support added in 10.4.1. This has been extended across all of the Solace object types as well as actions for managing them.
Solace Brokers
Solace Message VPNs
Solace Queues
Custom Attributes
Custom attributes have been extended across the majority of Navigator objects. If you are not familiar with custom attributes, they allow assigning your own properties to an object, such as application names, identifiers, or even thresholds. These properties can then be used to filter records in the GUI or to assist with automation and alerting.
See Setting up custom attributes in Navigator for more details, or check out this short video example on Vimeo: Navigator X - Custom Attributes.

Popular FAQs & Articles
Using Viewlet Colors in Navigator
Viewlets in Navigator can be color coded, making it easier for users to identify what type of objects a viewlet contains. The color appears in a viewlet’s header. In the example below, manager viewlets are color coded green.
You can configure colors for viewlets as follows:
- you can specify one color to represent all viewlets of a product, or
- you can specify multiple colors so that each viewlet type is represented by a different color, or
- you can select a color to represent a single viewlet
See this FAQ for more details.
XRay tool bar options
There are several options located at the top right of your screen. Use the figure and link below as a reference to learn what these options do.
See this FAQ for the complete explanation of these fields.
