A Replay Log in a Solace Message VPN stores copies of published messages, allowing them to be replayed later if needed.
When enabled for a topic or queue, the replay log keeps a historical record of messages published to that topic within the same Message VPN.
This feature helps with message recovery, debugging, and reprocessing data after consumer downtime.
Browse Existing Replay Logs
In the Message VPNs widget, select the Message VPN you want to view.

From the Selected menu, navigate to:
Browse Objects > Browse Replay Logs. The Replay Log tab opens in the Console, displaying details of the replay log configured for the selected Message VPN.
If a replay log has not been added to the Message VPN, see the steps below to create one.
Add a New Replay Log
In the Replay Log tab, click the Add Replay Log
button.
The Solace Msg Vpn Replay Log dialog opens.

Enter the required details:
Replay Log Name — Enter a unique name for the replay log.
Incoming — Select True or False to enable or disable capturing of incoming messages.
Outgoing — Select True or False to enable or disable capturing of outgoing messages.
Maximum Spool Usage (MB) — Specify the maximum spool space allocated for the replay log.
Spool Usage (MB) — Specify the current spool usage.
Messages Logged (msgs) — Specify how many messages to log.
Message Replays Initializing / Active / Pending Complete / Failed — Define the corresponding replay values as needed. opens.
Click Ok to create the replay log immediately, or Schedule to create it at a later time.

Only one replay log can be created for each Message VPN.
Once created, the replay log appears in the Replay Log tab with its status and statistics in the Console.
It starts storing copies of published messages according to the configured incoming or outgoing settings.
Enable Replay Log
While browsing replay logs in the Console, select the replay log and click Properties from the Selected menu.
The Replay Log Properties dialog opens.
Set Incoming and Outgoing to True to enable the replay log.
Delete Replay Log
While browsing replay logs in the Console, select the replay log and click Delete from the Selected menu.
The Confirm Delete Action dialog opens.
Click Yes to delete the replay log immediately, or Schedule to delete it later.
