1. Updates
Our Platform
We had 3 recent product deliveries on our platform.
AutoPilot Service update 32
Navigator 10.3
XRay 1.4
In addition to the new features and benefits (see below), one thing these share in common is single sign-on (SSO) using SAML for our web applications. If you are interested in using this feature, please contact your technical account manager to work out a deployment plan. There are many security providers, and we can work with you to determine the details that are required for your specific configuration.
With the continued integration among all of the products in our platform, we have identified that our current release numbering system can be confusing. In upcoming releases, we will standardize our approach, using a common version numbering system across the components.
Navigator
One of the updates to Navigator 10.3 offers more versatile dashboard management and usage. You can now have multiple dashboard configurations (user views) and switch between them. This allows you to have many dashboards and easily access them with minimal navigation. As part of this, a dashboard manager application is provided, which allows you to review your current dashboards, export and import them, and even tag them so that you and others can find them more quickly in the future.
The same flexibility has been extended to attributes and message filters, further simplifying Navigator and extending its flexibility.
The number of customers using Navigator in their CI/CD automated pipelines continues to increase. We also continue to enhance the REST endpoint with new functionality. If you have not tried it out yet, see the FAQ below to learn how you can exercise it directly using our demo system.
Perhaps it’s a small thing, but you can now select a flat color scheme as an alternative to the gradient option that has been available if that is your preference.
XRay
With XRay 1.4, we have introduced a new query element called a view (much like a view in database systems). The key element of a view is that it runs independently to run the query and stores the data (Oracle calls this a materialized view). A typical use case for this is a query that takes a long time to process. Rather than having to wait for the result, the GUI gets it from the latest view execution and displays it instantly.
JKQL scripting has been added so that complex JKQL can be scheduled to run. While typically used internally, such as for machine learning, the capabilities can be extended to other tasks that are run frequently.
In terms of machine learning, we have continued to simplify the process and can automatically create dashboards with targeted viewlets associated with a given model.
Emails from support
There are 2 email addresses in use for support.
Support@meshiq.com is a mail list, and any mail you send to this address is routed to our entire support staff, key developers, software engineers, and management.
Supportsystem@meshiq.com is the account associated with the support system itself. This is used to send notifications when support tickets are updated. In the future, it will also be the email address you use to reply to a support ticket via email, eliminating the current need to log in to support to update the ticket.
Please make sure to add both to your safe senders list!

Using the REST API using the Navigator demo system
If you want to try out the Navigator REST API without installing it, you can exercise it on the Navigator demo system.
3. Middleware Performance Benchmark
What’s the best performing messaging platform for your application and workload?
This is a question that can take immense effort to analyze and answer.
Whether you are building a new app, upgrading existing, or moving workloads to the cloud, this report will help you make the right decision.
We have done extensive performance testing under varying workloads and configurations to compare messaging middleware platforms.
Report Outline:
This report compares the performance of these commonly used messaging middleware platforms:
- IBM MQ
- RabbitMQ
- Apache Kafka
- ActiveMQ Classic
- ActiveMQ Artemis
The report also includes methodology, environment, the performance of tests, the results, and the conclusions.

4. XRay COVID-19 Data Lake
We have pulled together multiple COVID-19 datasets from CDC, Johns Hopkins University, and several others into a single interactive data lake on which you can do the following:
- Run your own queries & computations
- Create analytics & web dashboards
- Share your charts & graphs in web apps
The data lake is updated daily with the latest COVID-19 stats from around the world. View the dashboard live, no registration required!
