From the Export Data option, you can create a data backup of your entire Control Center configuration or export Control Center definitions for selected objects in JSON or CSV format.
Control Center Export
- Select Control Center Operations > Export Data from the left toolbar. The Export meshIQ Control Center dialog appears.
Create a Data Backup
- Select the first option, Data Backup, from the Export meshIQ Control Center dialog, and click Ok.

.jsonfile is downloaded to your browser. The file name begins withcontrol_center_backup_, followed by a numerical value. - Choose the Open File option (varies by browser). This file contains a backup of all configuration data.
Export Data (By Groups)
- Select the second option, Export Data (By Groups), from the Export meshIQ Control Center dialog, and click Ok. The Export meshIQ Control Center Data dialog appears.
- Choose the file format for the exported data: JSON or CSV.
- Select the checkboxes of the items you want to export. Items that can be reimported are marked with "true" in the Can Be Imported column.

Click Export. A JSON or CSV file will be downloaded automatically, containing all data from the selected items.

Version 11.3 and Earlier
From the Export Data option, you can create a data backup of your entire security configuration or export security definitions for selected objects in JSON or CSV format.
Create a Data Backup
- Select Export Data from the menu. The Export WSM dialog opens.
In version 11.2, select Export Data from the left toolbar. The Export meshIQ Secure dialog opens. - Select Data Backup.
- Click OK. A .json file is downloaded to your browser. The file name begins with wsm_backup_ followed by a numerical value.
- Choose the open file option (varies by browser). This file contains a backup of all data.
Export Data (By Groups)
- Select Export Data from the menu. The Export WSM dialog opens.
In version 11.2, select Export Data from the left toolbar. The Export meshIQ Secure dialog opens. - Select Export Data (By Groups).
- Click OK. The Export WSM Data dialog opens.
- Select the file type that you want to store exported data in: JSON or CSV.
- Select the checkboxes of the items you want to export. The items that can be reimported are marked with "true" in the Can Be Imported column.

Click Export. A JSON or CSV file will be downloaded automatically. It will contain all data from the selected items.
