The Start, Stop, and Shutdown options in an ACE/IIB integration server control its operational state. These actions determine whether the server is running, paused, or taken offline in a controlled manner.
Start: Brings the integration server online, initializes its runtime environment, and makes the server active.
Stop: Pauses the integration server without fully taking it offline. The server remains loaded but is not actively running.
Shutdown: Performs a complete shutdown of the integration server and fully stops the server process after completing internal cleanup.
To perform these actions, refer to the instructions below.
Start an ACE/IIB Server
To start an integration server:
In the SERVER widget, select the server you want to start.
From the Selected menu, choose Start.
A Confirm Start action dialog opens, showing the selected server details.
Click Yes to start immediately, or Schedule to run the start action later. (See Scheduling Jobs for more details.)
The server starts once confirmed.
Stop an ACE/IIB Server
To stop a running integration server:
In the SERVER widget, select the server you want to stop.
From the Selected menu, choose Stop.
A Confirm Stop action dialog opens, listing the selected server.
Click Yes to stop immediately, or Schedule to stop it later. (See Scheduling Jobs for more details.)
The server stops once the action is confirmed.
Shutdown an ACE/IIB Server
The Shutdown action completely shuts down the integration server and brings it to an inactive state.
To shut down a server:
In the SERVER widget, select the server you want to shut down.
From the Selected menu, choose Shutdown.
A Confirm Shutdown action dialog opens, displaying the server details.
Click Yes to shut down immediately, or Schedule to run the shutdown later. (See Scheduling Jobs for more details.)
The server shuts down once confirmed.
