Use the Resolve Channel option when the link fails during the confirmation period and the connection cannot be reestablished. Only Sender and Cluster Sender channels have this option available in their Commands menus.
- From the channel’s pop-up menu, select Commands > Resolve Channel. The Resolve Channel dialog window appears.
The following buttons appear at the bottom of the dialog window:
- Commit: The in-doubt messages will be deleted from the transmission queue.
- Backout: The in-doubt messages are returned to the transmission queue.
- Channel Properties: Update the channel’s properties. See Channel Properties for more information.
The Commit and Backout buttons are only available when the channel is in INDOUBT state. This means that the channel's sending end does not know if messages were received.
- Click Ok when finished.
