- To start a channel, select the channel, and then choose Commands > Start Channel from the channel’s Selected menu.
- The Start Channel dialog opens.
- Within the Channel Disposition section, you can choose to include Private, Shared or Shared-Linked channel dispositions. Check the box and select the desired option from the drop-down menu.

- Click Ok to start the channel, or click Schedule to create a task to start the channel at a specified time (see Scheduling Jobs).
(The Schedule button will not appear if your WGS is not configured for scheduling.) -
After clicking Ok, the status will initially display as Initializing with
a changing icon. It will then change to Running if the channel starts successfully. If there are issues with starting channel, the status will show as Stopped or Inactive or Retrying.

- From the channel’s Action menu (Selected menu from version 11.2 onwards), select
