In version 11.1 and earlier, the ‘User Settings > Manage Settings’ menu in the Main Menu allows you to customize the default behavior of the application.
In version 11.2, select User Settings > Manage Settings from the left toolbar.
General tab
The General tab contains some default view and data settings as well as time-related settings. The image shown below reflects the user interface design of versions 1.5 and later. In earlier versions, some of the same settings are found in different locations: the Default Repository ID is found under User Settings > Repository; the Date & Time Range is found under User Settings > Date & Time range; the choices in the Colors tab are found under Admin Settings > Graph; and Summary Console, Landing page, and Auto Refresh are located under User Settings > Configure Dashboards.
The table below describes the settings on the General tab.
In version 11.2, the Theme setting is located under the General tab in User Settings, where you can choose from three options: Dark, Light, or Auto.
- If the Light theme is selected in user settings, light theme colors will be used.
- If the Dark theme is selected in user settings, dark theme colors will be used.
- If the Auto theme is selected in user settings, the theme colors will adjust based on the browser or operating system settings.
- Chrome: In its settings, Chrome has a “Mode” option with values Light, Dark, and Device. However, these settings do not affect the Track webpage when the “Auto” theme is set. The operating system theme/colors do affect the Track webpage when the “Auto” theme is used.
- Safari: This behaves the same way as Chrome.
- Firefox: Firefox has a “Website Appearance” setting with values Light, Dark, and Automatic. These settings do affect the Track webpage when the “Auto” theme is set. If “Automatic” is selected, Firefox will use the theme/color preference from the operating system settings.
- MS Edge: This behaves the same way as Firefox.
- Opera: This behaves the same way as Firefox.

If the 'Light' theme is selected in user settings, light theme colors will be used. If the 'Dark' theme is selected in user settings, dark theme colors will be used. If the 'Auto' theme is selected in user settings, the theme colors will adjust based on the browser or operating system settings. |
Summary Console |
Automatically display or hide the Summary Console every time you log in. Select either On (to display the Summary Console) or Off (to hide it). If you select Off, you can still view the Summary Console by clicking the Summary tab on the dashboard. |
Landing Page |
The Landing Page displayed when logging in can be disabled by turning this setting Off. If you do so, you will see your dashboard immediately when you log in. To show the Landing Page, turn this setting On. |
Auto Refresh |
The dashboard Auto Refresh interval specifies how often viewlets will be refreshed in all dashboards. It is especially useful for viewlets that display real-time data. To specify the refresh interval, select the desired refresh time. |
Default repository ID |
You can specify a default repository so that every time you log in, that repository will automatically be loaded. Select a repository from the drop-down menu and click Save. From this point forward, the selected repository will be loaded when you log in. |
Date & Time Range |
Set the default date and time range for dashboards and their viewlets for the repository you currently have open. Use the options within the drop-down menus. For more information, see Set the date and time for dashboards. Please note that the date and time range of viewlets and dashboards can still be updated, but the update will only be active within the current session. When logging back into the application, the default date and time range specified within the Date & Time Range dialog box above will be applied. |
Timezone |
Select your local time zone to control the dates that are displayed in the user interface. |
Locale |
Select a Locale to determine your language settings. On the following two tabs (Number Format and Date/Time Format), you can choose to base number, date, and time formatting on your Locale selection. |
Number Format tab
On the Number Format tab, choose the format that you want to use when numbers are displayed. You can choose to use browser settings or to format the numbers based on your Locale selection (on the General tab). Lastly, you can choose to design your own Custom format based on conventions such as which symbols to use for grouping and for the negative sign.
Date/Time Format tab
On the Date/Time Format tab, choose the format that you want to use when dates and times are displayed. You can choose to use browser settings or to format dates based on your Locale selection (on the General tab). Lastly, you can choose to design your own Custom format using codes to represent date and time elements. Click the information icon for a list of codes that you can use to build your own format.
