Export AutoPilot Policies as JSON for Import into Observe

The Business View Explorer in Enterprise Manager provides the Export As Observe Monitor option to export a selected policy or view as a JSON file. You can then import the exported file into Observe using the Import Policies feature.

Export a Policy or View

1. Open Business View Explorer in Enterprise Manager.
2. Select the policy or view you want to export.
3. Click the Export As Observe Monitor icon in the toolbar.
   
   
4. In the Export To Observe Monitor dialog, enter a Policy name and choose an Export path using Select.
   

Configure Sensor Settings

Under Sensor configuration, configure the mapping for each sensor:

1. Set the Service/Category/ Type for each sensor.
2. To apply the same mapping to all sensors, use Set to all sensors.

3. To modify the mapping for an individual sensor, click Change next to that sensor. The Change sensor Sensor pop-up window opens.

4. Edit the configuration in Change sensor Sensor pop-up window and then click Ok to apply changes.
   

   Use the Export checkbox to include or exclude individual sensors from the exported JSON file.

After configuring the policy details and sensor settings, click Export to generate the JSON file at the selected export path.

Import the Policy into Observe

 Import the exported JSON file into Observe using the Import Policies option. For more information, see Import AutoPilot Policies into Observe.
