When a listener stops, it no longer watches the port for new connection requests.
The queue manager cannot accept new channel connections until the listener starts again.
Connections that were already created before the listener stopped remain active until they close naturally.
To stop a listener:
In the Listeners widget, select the listener you want to stop.

From the Selected menu, choose:
Commands > Stop -
The Confirm Stop Listener Action dialog opens.
Click Yes to stop the listener immediately, or click Schedule to perform the action later.
