After creating a monitor, the next step is to associate it with the necessary components—Resource Groups, Schedules, and Notification Policies—to fully enable alerting and tracking based on selected system conditions.
These associations define:
- Which resources the monitor evaluates
- When the monitor runs
- How and to whom alert notifications are sent

Associate Resource Group
The Resource Group defines the specific resources the monitor will evaluate (e.g., queues, topics, or clusters).
To associate a Resource Group:
- Select the desired monitor and click Associate Resource Group from Selected menu.
- The Associate Resource Group dialog opens.
- Use the Search (Filter By) field to filter available resource groups.
- Select the checkbox next to the desired resource group(s).
Optionally, enable Show Selected Only to view only the resource groups you've selected. - To view resource group details, click the Preview Resource Groups
icon. This opens the View Resource Groups dialog with full details.
- If you wish to create a new resource group, click the Create Resource Groups
button to create a new one.
Follow the Create Resource Group instructions to complete setup. - Click the Associate button.
✅ Once associated, the monitor will evaluate only the resources included in the selected group(s).
Associate Schedule
A Schedule determines how often the monitor runs to evaluate the selected resources.
To associate a Schedule:
- Select the desired monitor and click Associate Schedule from the Selected menu.
- The Associate Schedule dialog opens.
- Use the Search (Filter By) field to filter available schedules.
- Select the radio button next to the desired schedule.
- To remove a selected schedule, click the Unselect button to clear your current selection.
- To view schedule details, click the Preview Schedules
icon.
This opens the View Schedule dialog with full details. - If you wish to create a new schedule, click the Create Schedule
button to create a new one.
Follow the Create Schedule instructions to complete setup. - Click the Associate button.
✅ Once associated, the monitor will run at intervals defined by the selected schedule.
Associate Notification Policy
A Notification Policy defines how alerts are delivered when a monitor condition is met (e.g., via email or webhook).
To associate a Notification Policy:
- Select the desired monitor and click Associate Notification Policy from the Selected menu.
- The Associate Notification Policy dialog opens.
- Use the Search (Filter By) field to filter available notification policies.
- Select the checkbox next to one or more notification policies from the list.
Optionally, enable Show Selected Only to view only the notification policies you've selected. - To view notification policy details, click the Preview Notification Policy
icon.
This opens the View Notification Policy dialog with full details. - If you wish to create a new notification policy, click the Create Notification Policies
button to create a new one.
Follow the Create Notification Policy instructions to complete setup. - Click the Associate button.
✅ Once associated, notifications will be delivered according to the settings defined in the selected notification policy.
