Understanding the refresh intervals at which kafka objects gets updated.

There are 2 refresh intervals in WGS properties. These can be modified by opening WGS Properties from enterprise manager and navigating to other options tab.

Description of the refresh intervals is as follows.

1. Object Status Refresh Interval (in seconds) : This interval requests for updates to, changes in state of the object or changes to available messages or other such fields, on existing objects since last poll. This defaults to 30 seconds.
2. Object Refresh Interval (in seconds) : This interval discovers the newly added objects or deleted objects or any changes to configuration data, since last poll. This interval defaults to 600 seconds and is considered a good value, because configuration information does not get updated that regularly.

Table below lists out the operations performed against each object types and the refresh interval at which they done.

Note : Please remember that the time it takes to complete each of these operations is mainly dependent on the network latencies & the speed at which we get responses from the underlying API.
