The Limits feature for a RabbitMQ Virtual Host allows you to control how many connections and queues can be created within that Virtual Host. Setting these limits helps manage resource usage, prevent overload, and maintain predictable performance across the messaging environment.
View Limits for a Virtual Host
To view limits for a RabbitMQ Virtual Host:
Open the Virtual Host widget and select the Virtual Host you want to manage.
From the Selected menu, click Limits.

The RabbitMQ Virtual Host Limits dialog opens and displays the following options:
Max Connections
Max Queues
If a limit is not configured, the dialog shows: “Currently limit for this option is unset.”
Set Limits for a Virtual Host
In the RabbitMQ Virtual Host Limits dialog, click SET next to Max Connections or Max Queues.
Enter the desired numeric value in the field that appears.
Click SAVE to apply the limit.
A success message appears after saving the changes.
Modify or Remove Limits for a Virtual Host
To change an existing limit, update the value in the field and click SAVE.
To remove a limit completely, click DELETE next to the corresponding limit.
A confirmation dialog appears asking whether you want to delete the selected limit.
Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
