This article will guide you through the process of creating a Solace RDP object.
A REST delivery point (RDP) is a provisioned object on a message VPN that facilitates message delivery to REST consumers. An RDP is associated with a client profile on the Message VPN. The RDP can be bound to message queues to deliver messages from those queues to REST consumers. The RDP maintains a list of REST consumers, which are identified by their remote connection information.
Before creating the RDP object, you must establish a Solace Manager connection. To learn how, click on Create Remote Solace Manager Connection.
Create a Solace RDP
You can create a Solace RDP object by following these steps:
- Open the Solace RDP viewlet, click the Add button
.
- The Select Object Path window will open. Specify the Workgroup server, Node, Broker, and Message VPN, then click Select path.
By default, all available Workgroup servers, Nodes, Brokers, and Message VPNs are selected. If you want to limit the selection, you must explicitly choose which ones to include. - The Solace RDP Create Window will open. Enter the RDP Name (required) and any other necessary details.
- Click Ok to create the RDP object immediately. Alternatively, click Schedule to create it at a future time (see Scheduling for details).
- Now, go to the RDP viewlet to see the newly added object. If you can't find it, refresh the viewlet using the Refresh
icon.
