This article will explain how to create a Solace Bridge.

A Bridge or Message VPN bridge allows messages published to one Message VPN to be transferred to another Message VPN. They are sometimes referred to as static bridges in contrast to the alternative DMR bridges that can be also used with a Message VPN.

Before creating the Solace Bridge, you must establish a Solace Manager connection. To learn how, click on Create Remote Solace Manager Connection.

Create a Solace Bridge

You can create a Solace Bridge by following these steps:

1. Open the Solace Bridge widget, click the Add Solace Bridge button. 
2. The Select Object Path dialog will open. Specify the Workgroup server, Node, Broker, and Message VPN then click Select path.

By default, all available Workgroup servers, Nodes, Brokers, and Message VPN are selected. If you want to limit the selection, you must explicitly choose which ones to include.

3. The Solace Bridge Create Window will open. Enter the Bridge Name (required) and populate other needed details.
   
4. Click OK to create the Solace Bridge immediately. Alternatively, click Schedule to create it at a future time (see Scheduling for details).
5. Now, go to the Solace Bridge widget to see the newly added object. If you can't find it, refresh the widget by using the Refresh icon.
