You can create a Kafka Connector from a Connector widget using the following process:
Before creating a Kafka connector, you should define a connect instance when adding the remote Kafka definition in order to be able to create sink/source connectors. To learn how to create Remote Kafka Manager Connection, See Create Remote Kafka Manager Connection.
To create a Connector:
- Open the Kafka Connector widget.
- Click on the Add Kafka Connector
button, the Select object path dialog opens.
- Specify the Workgroup server, Node, and Cluster then click Select Path.
- The Kafka Connector Create window will open.
- In General tab, enter the Connector Name (required) and select Instance, Type, and Class from the dropdown list.
- In the Configure tab, enter the necessary configuration details to establish a successful connection.
- To add a configuration property, enter the details in the Key and Value fields, then click Add.
- To remove an existing property, click the Remove button.
- Click Ok to create the Kafka Connector immediately, or click Schedule to create it at a later time (see Scheduling).
