In Kafka, a connector can be paused to temporarily stop data flow between Kafka and external systems without deleting or reconfiguring it.
Pausing a connector is useful when performing maintenance or troubleshooting tasks, allowing you to stop data flow safely and resume it later. To learn how to resume see Resume Kafka Connector.
To pause a connector:
Select the connector you want to pause.
From the Selected menu, select Commands > Pause.
The Confirm Pause action dialog opens.
Click Yes to pause immediately, or Schedule to pause at a later time.
(See Scheduling Jobs for more information.)
Once paused, the connector status changes to Pause, and data transfer between Kafka and the external system temporarily stops until resumed.
