You can set the date and time range for dashboards. Each dashboard can have its own time period specified. All viewlets on the dashboard will reflect this time period. Please note that this time range will only be effective for the current session; the next time you log in, the system's default date and time range will be used.
How to specify a date and time range for a dashboard
In the toolbar at the top-right section of your screen is the Date and Time Range button. This is where the time period is specified.
Click this button to launch the Date & Time Range window.
You have the following options to customize the date and time range:
- Predefined: Select Predefined to use one of the preset values from the second drop-down menu on the window.
- Custom: Select Custom to specify a limit value. Select from This, Earliest, Last and Latest and customize accordingly. Use the Units list to select the unit of time (Minute, Hour, Day, Week, Month, or Year). For all sections except This, you can enter a numeric Value in the field provided, allowing you to construct criteria such as Last 2 Month[s], Latest 2 Minute[s], and so on.
- Date Range: Select Date Range to enter specific From and To values. You can click within the From and To fields for additional time customization options.
Once the time period is specified, click Save. All viewlets on the dashboard currently displayed will now reflect this time period. Please note, the date and time range of individual viewlets can still be updated.
