The functionality described in this article is available in Navigator versions 10.5.0.5 and greater. See the Navigator v10.5.0.5 hot fix section of the 10.5 Highlights for an overview of feature changes.
The Display Schemas tab located on the Settings window is a central location from which you can manage schemas for all products and objects.
- At the User Settings level, you can view, add, copy, edit, and delete your own schemas. These schemas remain private to you unless you share them with one or more groups. (See the Schemas article for instructions.)
- At the Global Settings level, you can view, add, copy, edit, and delete schemas that are available to all users who log in to the interface.
View a schema
- Select the Product and Viewlet Type (Object) for which you want to view schemas. Viewlet schemas are displayed based on your selections. For products that include an Object Sub Type selection, the Object Sub Type All shows only schemas that apply to all Sub Types.
- Click a Viewlet schema in the list on the left to view its columns in the Schemas object attributes list.
Add a schema
- Select the Product and Viewlet Type (Object) of the schema you want to add.
- Click Add....
- Follow the instructions for adding a new schema in the Schemas article.
Copy a schema
To create a new schema based on an existing one, do the following:
- Select the Product and Viewlet Type (Object) of the schema you want to copy.
- Click the Viewlet schema in the list on the left.
- Click Copy As....
- Follow the instructions for copying a schema in the Schemas article.
Edit a schema
- Select the Product and Viewlet Type (Object) of the schema you want to edit.
- Click the Viewlet schema in the list on the left.
- Click Edit....
- Follow the instructions for editing a schema in the Schemas article.
Delete a schema
- Select the Product and Viewlet Type (Object) of the schema you want to delete.
- Click the Viewlet schema in the list on the left.
- Click Delete. A confirmation message is displayed:
- Click Yes to delete the schema or No to cancel.
