The Compare feature in the Message Flow widget allows you to compare the attributes of two or more selected message flows side by side. This helps you quickly identify configuration differences, deployment variations, or runtime attribute mismatches across flows.
When multiple message flows are selected, the comparison view opens in a new tab in the console, displaying attributes in a structured table where each column represents one flow and each row represents a specific attribute.
Open the Compare View
To compare message flows:
In the Message Flow widget, select two or more message flow objects.
From the Selected menu, click Compare.
A comparison tab opens in the Console, listing attributes on the left and the corresponding attribute values for each selected message flow on the right.
Understand the Compare Options
At the top of the comparison tab, two checkboxes control how the comparison results are displayed:
Compare
When Compare is selected, the full comparison table is displayed.
All attributes for each selected message flow appear side by side.
Both matching and differing values are shown together. Red shading highlights the differing rows.
This option must be selected for the comparison view to remain active.
Differences Only
When Differences only is selected, the table filters out all matching attributes.
Only rows where attribute values differ between flows are displayed.
If all selected flows are identical, the table may appear empty.
Compare + Differences only
When both options are selected, the comparison table stays visible (Compare)
and only differing attributes are shown (Differences only). This creates the most focused view by hiding identical rows and showing only mismatched values.
Ideal for quickly spotting configuration differences between message flows.
