When deleting most queues you have several options, as described below.
For EMS queues, the Delete Authority record and Purge messages options are not available. When you delete an EMS queue, the system deletes the queue and all its messages automatically.
- Select the checkbox next to the object you want to delete.

Then, go to Commands > Delete Queue from the Selected menu.
- The Delete Queue dialog opens for confirmation.
- Indicate whether you would like the authority record to be deleted.
- Choose what to do if the queue contains messages:
- Select Yes from the Purge messages option to delete both the queue and the messages it contains.
- Select No if the queue does not contain messages. If the queue contains messages and No is selected, an error notification similar to the below screenshot will appear. The Description button can be clicked for more details.
- Click Ok to delete the queue immediately, or click Schedule to delete it at a later time. (See Scheduling.)
