With Perspectives, you can create collections of related dashboards that you would benefit from seeing simultaneously. You can switch between these collections, or "perspectives," at any time.
Initially, each user starts with a single Perspective called Main, which cannot be edited or deleted.
If supported products are enabled by the administrator, additional out-of-the-box perspectives are also available. See Out-of-the-Box Perspectives for more information.
Add a Perspective
On the Home page, click the Add Perspective tile (you can click anywhere on the tile, including the + icon).
In the Add Perspective dialog, enter a name in Perspective Name.
Optional: Under Import File, click Choose File to import an image for the perspective.
Optional: Enter a Description.
Optional: Turn on Is Perspective Favorite? to mark the perspective as a favorite.
Optional: Turn on Is Perspective as Default? to make it the default perspective after login.

Click Save. the new perspective is added to the Home page. Click the perspective tile to open it.
From there, you can add, rename, or delete dashboards to update your new Perspective. To learn how, see the Composable Dashboard section. Any changes you make are saved and are available the next time you open the same perspective.
To switch to a different perspective, click the Home button to return to the Home page, then select the perspective you want, or change it using the Perspective selector located at the top of the perspective.
Edit a Perspective
On the Home page, select the Perspective you want to edit.
Click Perspective Options, then select Edit.
In the Edit Perspective dialog, update the Perspective Name.

Optional:
Click Choose File to replace the existing image with a new one.
Modify the Description, if needed.

Turn on or off Is Perspective Favorite? or Set as Default? as required.
Click Save.
The updated details are shown on the Perspective tile on the Home page.
Set or Unset a Perspective as the Default
If you want to control which Perspective is displayed when you log on, you can set or unset a Perspective as the default. You can do this in the following ways:
Method 1: While creating or editing a Perspective
Open the Add Perspective or Edit Perspective dialog.
To set the Perspective as default, turn on Is Perspective as Default?.
To unset it, turn off Is Perspective as Default?.Click Save.
Method 2: From the Perspective tile
On the Home page, locate the Perspective tile.
Click Make default to set the Perspective as default, or click Unset default to remove it as the default.
In the confirmation dialog, click Yes to confirm.
The selected setting is applied immediately and takes effect the next time you log on.
Set or Unset a Perspective as Favorite
If you want to easily access a Perspective, you can mark it as a favorite or remove it from favorites. You can do this in the following ways:
Method 1: While creating or editing a Perspective
Open the Add Perspective or Edit Perspective dialog.
To mark the Perspective as a favorite, turn on Is Perspective Favorite?.
To remove it from favorites, turn off Is Perspective Favorite?.Click Save.
Method 2: From the Perspective tile
On the Home page, locate the Perspective tile.
Click the Make favorite (star) icon to mark the Perspective as a favorite, or click it again to remove the favorite setting.
The change is applied immediately.
Delete a Perspective
You can delete a Perspective that is no longer needed.
On the Home page, select the Perspective you want to delete.
Click Perspective Options, then select Delete.
In the confirmation dialog, click Yes, Delete to delete the Perspective.
Copy a Perspective
You can create a copy of an existing Perspective.
On the Home page, select the Perspective you want to copy.
Click Perspective Options, then select Copy.
In the Add Perspective dialog, enter a name for the new Perspective.
Click Save.
A new Perspective is created and appears on the Home page.

With User Perspectives, you can create collections of related dashboards that you would benefit from seeing simultaneously. You can switch between these collections, or "perspectives," at any time.
Initially, each user starts with a single User Perspective called the “Main" perspective.
The Workspace dashboard is part of all User Perspectives and cannot be removed.
Add a User Perspective
To add a new User Perspective:
- Click the User Perspective menu icon.
- Select +Add User Perspective.
- Enter a name for the new perspective:
In version 11.2 earlier
- Click OK. All current dashboards except the Workspace dashboard are cleared. From there, you can add, rename, or delete dashboards to update your new User Perspective. All changes you make are retained and are visible the next time you access the same perspective.
You can return to the Main perspective by selecting it from the User Perspective list:
Edit a User Perspective
You can edit a User Perspective by renaming it.
- Select the perspective from the User Perspective list to view it.
- Click the User Perspective menu icon and select Edit User Perspective.
- Enter a new name for the User Perspective and click OK.
In version 11.2 earlier - The new name is displayed in the User Perspective list.
Set a User Perspective as the Default
If you want a certain User Perspective to be displayed when you log on, set that User Perspective as the default. First, switch to that User Perspective. Then click the User Perspective menu icon and select Set As Default.
Delete a User Perspective
You can delete a User Perspective so it is no longer available.
- Select the perspective from the User Perspective list to view it.
- Click the User Perspective menu icon.
- Select Delete User Perspective.
- Click Yes to delete the User Perspective. As a result, your current User Perspective reverts to the Main option.
