The Alerts page provides a detailed overview of all active and historical alerts generated by monitors. This view enables users to analyze system issues, understand their severity, and prioritize corrective actions based on alert data. Alerts are triggered when monitors meet specific conditions, offering valuable insights into system health and performance.
Users can quickly identify:
- Which monitor triggered the alert
- The severity level
- The context surrounding the alert
This helps in assessing the overall system state and responding efficiently.
To access the Alerts page, select Alerts from the left-side menu.
Filter Alerts
Use the filters available at the top of the page to refine the list of alerts:
- Search (Filter By) – Search alerts using keywords.
- Monitor Name – Filter alerts by monitor name.
- Status – Filter alerts based on monitor status.
- Severity – Filter alerts by severity level.
- Tags – Filter alerts using associated tags.
- Category – Filter alerts by resource category.
- Type – Filter alerts by resource type.
Click Show Filters to expand additional filters.
Additional filters are displayed based on the selected Category and Type. For example:
- Workgroup Name
- Node Name
- Queue Manager Name
- Queue Name
Each filter provides dropdown options to select specific values and narrow down the results.
Alert Table - Column Descriptions
| Column Name | Description |
| Monitor | Displays the name of the monitor that triggered the alert. This helps users trace alerts back to the specific monitoring rule or configuration. |
| Status | Indicates the current state of the alert. Possible values include: • Pending – Alert has been triggered but not yet addressed. • Active – Alert is ongoing and requires attention. • Cleared – The condition that caused the alert has been resolved. • Acknowledged – The alert has been acknowledged by a user but not yet cleared. |
| Severity | Reflects the importance or criticality of the alert. Severity levels include: Success, Info, Warning, Error, and Critical. |
| Category | Displays the category of the monitored resource (for example, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ). |
| Type | Displays the type of object being monitored (for example, Queue Manager, Local Queue, Virtual Host). |
| Attributes | Displays key attributes associated with the monitored resource. Click the Show Alert Details icon to open the Alert Details dialog, which provides complete alert information, including monitor details, attributes, and metrics. |
| Metrics | Displays metric-related values based on the selected category and configured monitor metrics. Click the Show Alert Details icon to open the Alert Details dialog, which provides complete alert information, including monitor details, attributes, and metrics. |
| Tags | User-defined labels associated with the monitor for better organization and filtering. |
| Update Time | Displays the timestamp of the last update to the alert, indicating how recent the alert is. |
