Create a DMR Cluster

This article will guide you through the process of creating a Solace DMR Cluster object.

A DMR cluster connects event broker nodes with each other to form a mesh. Within a cluster, internal links allow each node to communicate directly with all of the others. External links connect DMR clusters with each other. Each cluster may be as simple as a single node, or may contain up to 15 nodes connected by internal links.

Before creating the DMR Cluster, you must establish a Solace Manager connection. To learn how, click on Create Remote Solace Manager Connection.

Create a Solace DMR Cluster

You can create a Solace DMR Cluster by following these steps:

1. Open the Solace DMR Cluster viewlet, click the Add button  . 
2. The Select Object Path window will open. Specify the Workgroup server, Node, and Broker then click Select path. 
   By default, all available Workgroup servers, Nodes, and Brokers are selected. If you want to limit the selection, you must explicitly choose which ones to include.
3. The Solace DMR Cluster Create Window will open. Enter the DMR Cluster Name (required) and populate other needed details.
   
4. Click Ok to create the DMR Cluster immediately. Alternatively, click Schedule to create it at a future time (see Scheduling for details).
5. Now, go to the DMR Cluster viewlet to see the newly added object. If you can't find it, refresh the viewlet using the Refresh icon.
