This article will guide you through the process of creating a Solace JNDI connection.
Solace provides JMS connectivity via JNDI, to allow Java applications connect to Solace brokers. Using JNDI, users can create or lookup JNDI connection factories.
Before creating the JNDI Connection, you must establish a Solace Manager connection. To learn how, click on Create Remote Solace Manager Connection.
Create a JNDI Connection
You can create a JNDI Connection by following these steps:
- Open the JNDI Connection Factory widget, click the Add Solace JNDI Connection Factory
button.
- The Select Object Path dialog will open. Specify the Workgroup server, Node, Broker, and Message VPN then click Select path.
By default, all available Workgroup servers, Nodes, Brokers, and Message VPNs are selected. If you want to limit the selection, you must explicitly choose which ones to include.
- The Solace JNDI Connection Factory Create Window will open. Enter the JNDI Connection Name (required) and populate other needed details.
- Click Ok to create the JNDI Connection immediately. Alternatively, click Schedule to create it at a future time (see Scheduling for details).
- Now, go to the JNDI Connection Factory widget to see the newly added object. If you can't find it, refresh the widget using the Refresh
icon.
