There are two ways to create a new dashboard.
- To add a new dashboard, choose one of the following ways to open the Create New Dashboard dialog:
- Click the
button in the Dashboards panel on the left side of the screen.
- Click Manage Dashboards
to open the Manage Dashboards window, then click Add a new dashboard
button.

- Enter a name for the new dashboard. Each dashboard must have a unique name.

Select Yes to generate initial widgets in the new dashboard or No to create a empty dashboard with options for creating widgets (see Adding a widgets to your dashboard). If you select Yes, the following additional fields are displayed:
- Widgets template: Select a template for your widget. This is optional.

Product: Select the object product type for the initial widget that will be generated. Choose from IBM MQ, IIB/ACE, EMS, Kafka, Solace, ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ. The widgets that are generated for each product are listed below.
Kafka: Topic widgets.
Solace: Broker and Message VPN widgets.
RabbitMQ: Virtual host and queue widgets.
IBM MQ: Local queue and channel widgets.
EMS: Queue, route, bridge, and connection widgets.
IIB: Broker, server, application, service, and REST API widgets.
ACE: Integration node, server, application, service, and REST API widgets.
ActiveMQ: Broker and queue widgets.
- Workgroup Server: Select the workgroup server. Use the Multi-Selection checkbox to select multiple workgroup servers.
- Use original path: By default, the Use original path check box is selected, indicating that the new dashboard will use the Node and Queue manager of the selected dashboard template (from the widgets template list). To choose a different Node or Queue manager, clear this check box.
- Node: Select a specific node, or use an asterisk to include all objects from all nodes.
- Queue Manager: Select a specific queue manager, or use an asterisk to include all objects from all queue managers on the selected node(s).
- Click Create. A new dashboard is added to the current User Perspective with initial widgets (if applicable).
New Dashboard with No Widgets

There are two ways to create a new dashboard.

- Click Manage Dashboards to open the Manage Dashboards dialog, then click +New.
- Click the plus button
- Enter a name for the new dashboard. Each dashboard must have a unique name.

Select Yes to generate initial viewlets in the new dashboard or No to create a empty dashboard with options for creating viewlets (see Adding a viewlet to your dashboard). If you select Yes, the following additional fields are displayed:
- Viewlets template: Select a template for your viewlet. This is optional.
