Copy Messages

Version 12.x and Later

The Copy messages dialog allows you to copy messages to other queues/topics. The messages remain on their originating queues/topics and are simply copied to the destination queues you specify.

The Copy messages dialog appears when you select the desired messages in the Console tab and either click the Copy Message icon or choose Copy Message from the Selected menu.

Below is an example of the Copy messages dialog. The dialog title will display the number of messages you selected to be copied. In the example below only 2 messages were selected. The queue name of the selected messages is displayed at the top of the dialog, in the example below, the name of the originating queue is 1234. Select all desired queues you would like the messages to be copied to. You can use the Search (Filter by) field to easily search for queues.  

Click Ok. The messages will now be copied to the selected queues. Or select Schedule to perform the copy action at a later time (See Scheduling).

Version 11.3 and Earlier

The Copy messages window is where you can copy messages to other queues. The messages will remain on their originating queues and will simply be copied to different queues specified by you.

The Copy messages window appears when you either: 

  • select the desired messages from a Messages viewlet and click the Copy message icon

  • or, select the desired messages from the Messages viewlet and select Copy messages from the Action menu (Selected menu in 11.2)

Below is an example of the Copy messages window. The window's title will display the number of messages you selected to be copied, in the example below only 2 messages were selected. The queue name of the selected messages is displayed at the top of the window, in the example below, the name of the originating queue is AA. Select all desired queues you would like the messages to be copied to. You can use the Filter by field to easily search for queues.

Click Ok. The messages will now be copied to the selected queues.
