Perform the following steps if a Favorite Object widget does not exist or if you want to create a new one:
Go to the dashboard where you want to add the Favorite widget.
Click the Add Widget
button located in the top-right corner of the screen. The Create Widget dialog opens.
Select Create for Favorite Objects. The Create Favorite Widget dialog opens.
Enter a Widget Name for the widget and select the Workgroup Server(s) that contain the favorite objects. You can select multiple workgroup servers.
Click Save.
An empty Favorite widget is created and appears on the dashboard. The widget name includes the assigned workgroup server name, IP address, and port number. A yellow star icon appears before the widget name, indicating that it is a Favorite widget.
After creating the widget, add objects to it. For more information, see Add object shortcuts to a Favorite Objects widget.

Version 11.3 and Earlier
Perform the following if a favorite object viewlet does not exist or if you would like to create a new one:
- Go to the dashboard you will be adding the favorite viewlet to. Please note, favorite viewlets cannot be added to the WorkSpace dashboard.
- Click the Viewlet + button located at the top right of the screen.
- The Create Viewlet window opens. Select Create a new viewlet for favorite objects.

- The 'Add Favorite Viewlet' window opens. Enter a name for the viewlet and select the workgroup server(s) containing the favorite objects. From version 11.0 onwards, you can select multiple workgroup servers.

Click Save Changes.
- An empty favorite viewlet is now created and will appear on the dashboard. The viewlet's name will include its assigned workgroup server and that workgroup server's name, IP and port number. There will also be a yellow star appearing immediately before the name, signifying that this is a favorite viewlet.
