As explained in About the meshIQ Platform license, the Domain server looks for the meshIQ Platform license in the naming folder that it is executed from. Initially, the server searches for a file named meshiq.lic. However, if no file is found with that specific name, then it looks for a file name that matches the pattern meshiq*.lic.
The Workgroup Server uses the License File property on the General tab.
Changing the location of the meshIQ Platform license on the Domain server
For the domain server, the location of the license file is defined in the server.license.file.path property in either domain.properties or node.properties.
To change the location of your license:
- In node.properties or domain.properties, update the server.license.file.path property to specify the full path to, and name of, your new license.
- Restart the domain server.
Changing the location of the meshIQ Platform license on the Workgroup server
The WGS gets the location of the license from its properties, specifically the License File property on the General tab. If the Workgroup server is installed alone on a system, this field may contain the file name only (for example, meshiq_Prod_MQM.lic). For single server systems, it may contain a relative or absolute path (for example, ../naming/meshiq_Prod_MQM.lic or /app/meshiq/licenses/meshiq_Prod_MQM.lic).
To change the location of your license:
- Start the Workgroup server. Since the license location may be pointing to the old license file name and location, you may receive errors.
- Update the License File property on the General tab to reflect the new meshIQ Platform license location.
- Save the properties.
- Restart the Workgroup server.
