RDQM (replicated data queue manager) is one of the current methods for implementing high availability queue managers. Multiple queue managers are run with one of them be the active queue manager from an application point of view. With meshIQ, it is possible to monitor both the active and the standby instances. This is done by running the RDQMSTATUS command on the nodes where the queue managers are running. These metrics are returned (see details here) and published as metrics. Sensors can be setup to monitor these to determine the health of all instances.
