Remote connections can now only be created for the node(s) you have currently selected. This change ensures that connections are accurately scoped and helps prevent cross-node misconfigurations.
This article contains instructions for managing a remote RabbitMQ manager manually. To learn how to import and export remote manager definitions, see Importing and Exporting Remote Managers.

The Undo button in the Remote Manager Connections dialog becomes available immediately after you add, modify, copy, delete, or import a connection. You can undo only the most recent action.
Creating a Remote RabbitMQ Manager Connection
- Select the RabbitMQ node, then from the Selected menu, click Manage Connections.
- The Remote RabbitMQ Manager Connections dialog opens.
– Hover over a Remote RabbitMQ manager to view its attributes on the right side of the dialog.
– You can sort columns in the remote RabbitMQ manager table alphabetically by clicking the column headers. - Click the Add New RabbitMQ Manager Connection
button to create a new remote RabbitMQ manager connection.
- The Add RabbitMQ Manager Connection dialog opens.
- Enter the configurations for the new Rabbit MQ connection manager.
The URL field supports multiple comma-separated URLs. If the connection between the connection manager and the remote connection is lost, the connection manager will automatically attempt to reconnect using the primary (first) followed by the subsequent URLs if multiple servers are added.
The General Connection is intended for administration tasks. The AMQP Connection is intended for message management. When message management is not required, the AMQP connection can be ignored.
- On the SSL tab, configure SSL security (Trust Store and Key Store paths and passwords). For meshIQ Cloud users, in the Trust Store Path field on the SSL tab, enter the path to the uploaded certificate file, as shown on the Certificates tab of your meshIQ Cloud subscription page.

On the AMQP tab, click the Add AMQP button to configure AMQP protocol settings. The Add AMQP dialog opens with two tabs: General and SSL.

General Tab
In the General tab, you can define AMQP connection settings in one of the two modes:Full Definition (selected by default)

SSL Tab
In the SSL tab, you can optionally configure secure communication settings.

- Once finished, click Ok to create connection immediately, or click Schedule to create the connection at a later time (see Scheduling for details).
Verify a Manager Connection

Modify a Manager Connection
- Select the RabbitMQ node, then from the Selected menu, click Manage Connections.
- The Remote RabbitMQ Manager Connections dialog opens.
- Select the remote connection that you want to modify.
- From the Selected menu, click Modify.
- The Change RabbitMQ Manager Connection dialog opens. Make the necessary changes.
- Click Ok to save all changes immediately, or click Schedule to apply the changes at a later time (see Scheduling for details).
Copy a Manager Connection
The Copy As command is used to copy the definition of an existing connection manager to a new one based on it.
- Select the RabbitMQ node, then from the Selected menu, click Manage Connections.
- The Remote RabbitMQ Manager Connections dialog opens.
- Select the remote connection that you want to copy.
- From the Selected menu, click Copy As.
- The Add RabbitMQ Manager Connection dialog opens.
- Modify the copied connection details as needed.
- Click Ok to save all changes immediately, or click Schedule to create the new connection at a later time (see Scheduling for details).
Delete a Manager Connection
- Select the RabbitMQ node, then from the Selected menu, click Manage Connections.
- The Remote RabbitMQ Manager Connections dialog opens.
- Select the remote connection that you want to delete.
- From the Selected menu, click Delete.
- In the confirmation dialog, choose one of the following:
– Click Yes, Delete to delete the connection immediately.
– Click No, Keep to cancel the deletion.
– Or click Schedule to delete the connection at a later time (see Scheduling for details).

- From the pop-up menu, select Create > Remote Rabbit MQ Managers. The Remote Rabbit MQ Manager Connections window opens.
- Select the remote connection that you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
- At the confirmation message, click Yes to confirm the deletion, No to cancel it, or Schedule to specify a future date and time to delete the object.
