Error message your email could not be verified

I am getting an error message "your email could not be verified" when clicking on the link in the verification email.

  This typically occurs when the link has already been used previously.  This can happen with email systems that are checking link validity as they click the link.  You should be able to login normally at this point since the email verification is complete.
