Create EMS durable

There are two ways to create a durable: you can create one from scratch or you can create a new one that is based on an existing one.

To create a durable:

1. Choose one of the following:
   • Create a new durable from scratch:
     1. Click the Add button in a Durable viewlet.  The Select Object Path window opens.
     2. Specify the object path of the new durable.
     3. Click Select path. The EMS Durable Create Window opens. 
   • Create a new durable based on an existing one:
     1. Select the checkbox for the existing durable.
     2. On the actions pop-up menu, select Commands > Copy As. The Copy Durable Window opens.
     3. Update the name for the new object.
2. Specify the configurations of the new durable.
3. Click Ok.
