There are two ways to create a durable: you can create one from scratch or you can create a new one that is based on an existing one.
To create a durable:
- Choose one of the following:
- Create a new durable from scratch:
- Click the Add button in a Durable viewlet. The Select Object Path window opens.
- Specify the object path of the new durable.
- Click Select path. The EMS Durable Create Window opens.
- Create a new durable based on an existing one:
- Select the checkbox for the existing durable.
- On the actions pop-up menu, select Commands > Copy As. The Copy Durable Window opens.
- Update the name for the new object.
- Create a new durable from scratch:
- Specify the configurations of the new durable.
- Click Ok.
