The installation, setup and usage are similar in both iOS and Android with minor variations due to the underlying architecture.
Step 1 - Configuring your account for access from a mobile device
Before starting, the first step is to setup a personal token for your account in the XRay GUI. To do this, select Personal Tokens from User Settings.
Then select Generate token and you will see a line similar to the one below.
Although, not needed if you want to see the token, you can click on the eye and/or copy to the clipboard using the copy icon
. But the easiest thing to do is to click the mini QR code icon
on the right hand side and you will see a QR code similar to the one below.
Step 2 - Setting up your mobile device
Now switch to your mobile device and search for "Nastel XRay" in the respective app store.

When you launch the app for the first time, you will need to configure access to your repository.
Click BEGIN
Configure the URL for your repository. If connecting to the XRay cloud offering, that will be https://xray.nastel.com/xray. If connecting to your on-premise installation, that will be your local URL. You can press CHECK CONNECTION to verify your settings are correct and then press NEXT.
This is where the QR code comes in from above. You can scan the QR code with your camera or if you prefer to not give access, you can enter it manually.
Once you do this, you need to supply a name to profile as you can have more than one configured. Press Done to return to the login screen.
Step 3 - Logging in to view your data
Since you only have one profile at this point, it is already selected so you can just LOG IN. Should you want to make any changes to the profile, you can do so by clicking on the edit icon, or you can add profiles using the add icon.
You initial view will depend on the configuration of your repository, but will show summary and other viewlets. You can click on individual dashboards (the tabs) to view them and the views within the dashboard by clicking on the up and down arrows at the bottom of the display.
These are some examples of the views you will see within the mobile app.
Logout
To log out and return to the main menu, click on the menu icon in the upper left and select log out.
