Suspending a cluster membership temporarily reduces the inbound cluster activity to the queue manager. This is useful if you need to perform maintenance on the queue manager. Refer to the IBM Knowledge Center for more information.
How to suspend a cluster membership
- In a queue manager viewlet, select the queue manager by clicking the box immediately to the left of its name. Please note, you can select multiple queue managers. From the pop-up action menu, select Cluster membership > Suspend.
- The Suspend Cluster Membership window opens. Select the cluster from the drop-down menu. Immediately below the drop-down, select either Quiesce or Force (hover your mouse over these options for an explanation).
- Click Ok. The cluster activity is now suspended to this queue manager. See Resume a suspended cluster queue manager for information on how to resume activity.
