A dashboard is a way to organize information. Each dashboard contains viewlets, which provide details about specific objects, such as queue managers, queues, connections, or topics.
All dashboards (except the Workspace dashboard) are represented tabs at the top of the screen. Dashboards are composed of two main sections:
- The summary panel at the top of the dashboard displays the main viewlets of the object.
- The Console panel displays viewlets containing information about additional objects, such as messages, attributes, or object statuses.
You can share, rename, and delete dashboards, or just remove one from your User Perspective. To learn about advanced dashboard tools, see Dashboard Management.
Workspace Dashboard
The Workspace dashboard is the default dashboard, and users will see it immediately after logging in. Its icon is located in the vertical toolbar on the left side of the screen and is marked with a green dot.
The default dashboard can be changed. See Controlling which dashboard you first see after logging in. To learn how to create dashboards, skip to Create new dashboards.
The Workspace dashboard consists of:
- Workgroup Servers viewlet: Displays a list of workgroup servers that are currently configured, whether or not you are connected. Select a workgroup server's checkbox to display its Action menu (Selected menu in 11.2), which includes options to create nodes and remote managers for all products.
- Node viewlet: Displays the nodes for each workgroup server.
