Notifications that have recently occurred in the Kafka cluster can be checked by clicking the Notifications icon at the top right of the screen.
You can view all notifications (the Notification History) by selecting the View All link at the bottom of the Notifications pop-up. The notification History page opens. A summary of notification types is displayed at the top of the page:
Notification history
Notification history is a list of all notifications that have occurred so far. The maximum retention period for notifications is 7 days. After 7 days, notifications are deleted in chronological order.
Notification history includes the following columns:
- Title. Title of notification.
- Trigger Reason. Detailed reason for the trigger.
- Triggered Time. The time the notification occurred.
- Start time. Time when it started being detected by the rule.
Notification history list
You can query the details of notifications generated according to registered notification rules. Notifications are divided into three types, which correspond to three tabs:
- System. When you connect a Kafka cluster to meshIQ Kafka Console, important notification rules are registered by default, and a list of notifications fired accordingly.
- Manager (Normal). List of notifications generated by notification rules separately registered by meshIQ Kafka Console administrator.
- Individual (Personal). List of notifications triggered by personal notification rules registered separately by meshIQ Kafka Console users. Only registered users can view these.
Filter Notifications
A filter panel is available on the left side to filter notifications. You can filter notifications by the following criteria:
- Component Type (for example, Broker, Partition, or Node)
- Max limit. Limit the number of messages to be returned.
- Cluster. Select one or more clusters.
- Severity. Click the icon 0or icons that represent the Severity of the notifications you want to view. Selected icons change to a darker color:
- Date. Choose the date range for which you want to view notifications.
Click Apply to apply the filter settings.
You can close the filter panel by clicking .
