If your system is not using LDAP for user authentication, you can create users and teams manually.
To view a list of users in your organization, go to Main Menu > Admin Settings > Users. The Role column indicates the user's role within the organization. Possible organization roles for users are View (Organization User role), Modify (Organization Admin role), and Owner.
Create a user
- Go to Main Menu > Admin Settings > Users.
In version 11.2, select Administrator Settings > User from the left toolbar. - Click Create.
- Enter a unique Username for the user.
- Enter the user's First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
- Enter the user's Password. Then re-enter it in the Confirm Password field.
- (Optional.) You can add Additional User Information, such as the user's Company Name, Phone, and Location. To hide viewlet jKQL queries from this user, select Suppress jKQL interface for this user. When this setting is selected, the user will not be able to view jKQL queries. To create a new viewlet, they must use a form.
- Click Create. The new user is added to the list.
Assign users to teams
- Go to Main Menu > Admin Settings > Users.
- Click the setup icon in the Teams column of the user you want to set up team membership for.
- Under Assign teams to user, enter the name of the team that you want to assign the user to. To assign the user to multiple teams, you can enter multiple names, as long as the user will have the same role within all the teams.
- Using the Role list, choose View or Modify.
- Choose View to indicate that the user belongs to the team.
- Choose Modify to indicate that the user not only belongs to, but can modify (that is, control who belongs to) the team.
- Click Assign.
Edit a user
- Go to Main Menu > Admin Settings > Users.
- Click the edit icon for the user you want to edit.
- Make your changes.
- Click Save.
Delete a user
- Go to Main Menu > Admin Settings > Users.
- Click the delete icon for the user you want to delete.
- On the confirmation message, click Yes to delete the user.
